More information provided for the Switch version of Doom
Full campaign and multiplayer will be available this November
Doom is releasing for the Nintendo Switch on November 10, 2017. It will have the full campaign, all multiplayer modes and maps, and an arcade mode. The level creation tool, SnapMap, will not be included with the Switch version.
The Switch version will also have every multiplayer DLC released for the game to date. This means there will be 18 multiplayer maps at launch. Retail versions of Doom on the Switch will only contain the single player portion, so the other content will need to be downloaded separately for free. Digital purchases on the platform will have the entire game.
Developers Panic Button are handling the port, and the Switch version will aim to provide a constant 30FPS, compared to 60FPS on the other platforms. Doom released on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in May 2016.
