VIP Map Pack 3 hits BC2, PC Patch delayed
Two new modes are being added to existing maps for PS3 and 360 gamers. PC gamers may have to wait at least another week for the long promised patch which includes the VIP map pack 3.
VIP Map Pack 3 for Battlefield: Bad Company 2 on PS3 and 360 is being released on the 9th of June. Gamers who have bought the game will have the code already, otherwise you can purchase a code for the pack from the game store.
The new map pack doesn't actually include new maps, just new modes for the existing maps. These new modes are Squad Deathmatch for Nelson Bay and Squad Rush for Laguna Alta.
PC gamers may have to wait another week (or more) to get a hand on these new modes for the existing maps and the much anticipated fixes. One fix will address the problem of the knife not registering when you stab an enemy in the back. These fixes were outlined over a month ago by DICE.
Interestingly enough one of the reasons for the delay of this new fix on PC is apparently because of a Transport strike in Romania. The QA team responsible for the testing of the new patch apparently could not get to work to test the patch. Other reports indicate that there is a crashing problem with the new patch
