Persona 5 ships over 1.5 million copies

Atlus has announced that following the launch Persona 5 in North America and Europe, the game has shipped more than 1.5 million copies worldwide.

The title was originally released in Japan in September 2016, and made its debut across the rest of the world last month. The shipped number of copies is assumed to be a total cumulative between the two versions.

Persona 5 is a game about the internal and external conflicts of a group of troubled youth who live dual lives. They have the typically ordinary day-to-day of a Tokyo high-schooler - attending class, after school activities and part-time jobs. But they also undertake fantastical adventures by using otherworldly powers to enter the hearts of people.

Persona 5 is available in North America for PS3 and PS4.
