Xbox E3 2017 briefing set
Microsoft chooses to switch their press conference to Sunday
Microsoft has announced that the E3 2017 Xbox Media Briefing will take place on Sunday, June 11 at 2 PM PT.
This marks a shift for the console maker, as for many years their traditional press conference timeslot has been on Monday morning. At least, the company will keep the same venue it has used for a few years - the Galen Center. It's expected that the event will feature a full reveal of the upcoming Scorpio console.
Microsoft joins EA who has also shifted their press conference last year (and this year) in favor of a Sunday showcase. Since its debut, the Bethesda showcase has also been on Sundays.
Microsoft is the first to solidify their conference date and time. EA has also announced their EA Play event, but has not yet provided specific time for the conference. The other publishers - Bethesda, Sony, and Ubisoft - have yet to confirm their plans for this year.
E3 2017 runs June 13 to 15 in Los Angeles.
