Firewatch coming to Xbox One this month
Adventure game makes its way over to Microsoft's console
Developer Campo Santo has announced that their adventure game Firewatch is coming to Xbox One on September 21st.
The Xbox One version comes with the complete Firewatch Audio Tour, a making-of that takes the normal game mode and turns it into one part Director’s Commentary, one part Game Dev Workshop. You’ll get stories from the development, hear from both Rich Sommer (Mad Men) and Cissy Jones (The Walking Dead), and get a real-time look at how the game was built.
Further, Xbox One owners are getting a free-roam mode that lets you explore the entire Shoshone Wilderness of the game with dynamic time of day and a few hidden secrets.
In Firewatch, you play as a man named Henry, who’s retreated from his messy life for the summer to take a job as a Wyoming forest fire lookout. You are in constant radio communication with your supervisor Delilah — your only remaining link to the outside world. But as the hot, dry summer progresses, increasingly strange events draw you out of your tower and into the wilderness to explore an unknown environment.
Firewatch first made its debut on PC and PS4 earlier this year.
