Final Fantasy XV delayed
Developers push back the release to ensure all Day 1 content is on disk
Square Enix has announced that Final Fantasy XV has been delayed to November.
Originally scheduled for a September launch, the upcoming RPG will now be out on November 29, 2016.
“From the moment we joined this project, our vision was to create a level of freedom and realism previously unseen in the series. Regrettably, we need a little bit more time to deliver on this vision and are confident that this new release date will help us achieve this,” said Hajime Tabata the game director.
In an accompanying video, Tabata also clarifies that they did not wish to release the game in September and also need to deploy a large Day 1 patch. They would like to have all players have the full experience on-disk.
Final Fantasy XV will be released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
