Scalebound to release in 2017

Development studio PlatinumGames have provided an update on Scalebound, the upcoming Xbox One-exclusive action-RPG.

Although originally planned for a 2016 release, the developers say that more time is needed to "deliver on an ambitious vision and ensure that Scalebound lives up to expectations". Due to that, the game is now planned for launch in 2017.

"Scalebound is one of the biggest games PlatinumGames has ever created: an epic adventure filled with exploration and fantasy gameplay, inventive multiplayer, and action-packed battles on an unbelievable scale – all set in a beautiful and evolving world. It’s the game our team has always dreamed of making," said the company.

The game was first announced at Microsoft Studios' press conference at E3 2014 with a cinematic trailer.
