Uncharted 4 multiplayer revealed

At Paris Games Week, Sony and Naughty Dog have announced the first details about Uncharted 4 multiplayer.

The mode promises the teamwork, over-the-top action-adventure, and detailed environments, but with new elements. When you are in trouble you can call in a Sidekick to help you. These are unique, AI-controlled characters that come equipped with special abilities that can help turn the tide of a battle. Mysticals, meanwhile, are supernatural abilities from the Uncharted series that give a player unique powers.

Lastly, players will be able to leverage the grappling hook in a number of locations in multiplayer maps, with melee mechanics also being adjusted to this new traversal opportunity.

The multiplayer demo will be playable at a number of upcoming gaming conventions. If you can't attend those, players can gain access to the Uncharted 4 multiplayer beta by buying Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection. The beta will run from 4th to 13th December 2015.

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is scheduled for release on March 18, 2016.
