Ubisoft announces Far Cry Primal
Stone Age game coming early 2016
Ubisoft has announced Far Cry Primal, a Stone Age entry in the popular shooter franchise. Developed by Ubisoft Montréal, in collaboration with numerous other Ubisoft studios, Far Cry Primal is a single player experience that will take gamers to 10,000 BC, when the woolly mammoth and sabretooth tiger ruled the Earth.
Gamers play as TAKKAR, a hunter and the last surviving member of his hunting group. They will travel through the open world of Oros, across swamps and cedar forests. Along the way, they will have to hunt for food, master fire, fend off fierce predators, craft weapons and tools partly from the bones of slain beasts, and face off against other tribes to conquer Oros. Fire is used for protection at night and provides tactical options to eliminate beasts and clear enemy outposts during the day.
“Far Cry usually puts you at the edge of the known world, in a beautiful, lawless and savage frontier. The Stone Age is, in a way, the very first frontier for humankind...” said Jean-Christophe Guyot, Creative Director, Ubisoft.
Far Cry Primal is being released on February 23, 2016 for the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One. The Windows PC version is coming March 2016.
