Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5 out now
Skateboarding franchise returns this week
Activision has announced the release of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5, the latest entry in a franchise that's been going since 1999.
The online capabilities of the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 are the foundation for THPS5’s drop-in/drop-out multiplayer mode. The 20-person multiplayer component lets gamers crash their friends’ online sessions for a little head-to-head competition or a few cooperative missions.
Pro Skater 5 also includes a new collection of eight parks that draws inspiration from the franchise’s most popular maps. Additional levels and characters will be added (free of charge) in future updates. And players have the ability to build their own skate parks with an arsenal of more than 250 usable objects.
Nyjah Huston, Riley Hawk, Aaron “Jaws” Homoki, Lizzie Armanto, Leticia Bufoni, Chris Cole, David Gonzalez, Andrew Reynolds, Ishod Wair, and Tony Hawk are featured in the game.
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 was developed by Robomodo and Disruptive Games and is now available on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Xbox 360 and PS3 versions are set to follow in November.
