Hitman delayed to 2016
Delay will allow for more content in the launch version of the stealth game
Square Enix and Io-Interactive have announced that Hitman, the reboot of the stealth action franchise, will not make its December 2015 release window.
The game is now planned to ship in March 2016. The game will feature a new content release model, where players will buy the initial offering at launch, and more missions and content will then be released over time. Developers say that the delay will allow them to include more launch content of the game, and then follow with a tighter frequency of updates.
The developers point to the fact that the new Hitman will feature much larger locations with lots of open world freedom and a variety of player choice.
Hitman will be released for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
