Interim patch released for Batman Arkham Knight on PC
First performance patch for the PC version since release
Batman: Arkham Knight has received its first performance patch on PC, just 72 days after the game was removed from sale. The patch offers performance improvements and additional video settings. See a list of fixes in the patch below.
- Reduced frame rate hitches
- Optimizations for system memory and VRAM usage
- Improved performance on all GPUs (requires the latest drivers)
- More Comprehensive In-Game Settings
- Fixed low resolution texture bugs
- Fixed hitches when running on mechanical hard drives (HDD)
As this is an interim patch, there are still more fixes to come. Players who paid for the season pass still do not have access to the content that has been released on other platforms. Rocksteady continue to work on the following:
- Adding support for SLI and Crossfire
- Adding support for the latest DLC & Season Pass content
- Adding support for additional updates such as Photo Mode
- Continued improvements and bug fixing for a Windows 7 specific memory issue that occurs on configurations with 8GB of system RAM and some NVIDIA GPUs during extended game play
- Continued improvements for Windows 10 specific issues on systems with some AMD GPUs
Feedback on the latest patch has been mixed. Some Steam users have reported better performance and others have indicated that their performance has degraded. Many still report that the framerate drops are still occurring, even on high end computers. No timeline was provided for the next patch.
Batman: Arkham Knight was released for PC on June 23rd 2015, and it was removed from sale the following day.
