Disney Infinity 3.0 released

Disney Interactive today launched Disney Infinity 3.0 Edition, the latest installment in the franchise. The Disney Infinity 3.0 Edition Starter Pack includes the software and base, the Star Wars™ Twilight of the Republic Play Set piece, Ahsoka Tano and Anakin Skywalker character figures, and a code that unlocks content for PC and mobile devices.

“This year’s edition offers one of the most complete Star Wars gaming experiences ever created.” said John Blackburn, SVP and General Manager, Disney Infinity.

Disney Infinity 3.0 Edition promises an updated and improved Toy Box mode where players can mix and match some of their favorite characters. A Toy Box Hub allows players to choose their gameplay experience – including platforming, racing and farming simulation games.

Nine play sets are available on release with more to come this year. The selection of initial play sets include:

• Star Wars Twilight of the Republic character figures Yoda and Obi-Wan Kenobi (MSRP: $13.99 each)
• Disney character figures Mickey, Minnie, Mulan, Olaf, Sam Flynn and Quorra from “Tron: Legacy” (MSRP: $13.99 each)
• Disney•Pixar’s Inside Out Play Set with Joy and Anger character figures included (MSRP: $34.99)

Owners of the previous Disney Infinity games can acquire version 3.0 via Digital Download for $29.99. All characters and Power Discs from the previous games are compatible with the new game. The starter pack for Disney Infinity 3.0 is available at a retail price of $64.99 for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and Wii U. The PC version is currently not available via retail or digital download. No details on its release have been provided.
