SOMA minimum specifications released
Horror title now available for preorder
Frictional games’ newest horror title is now available for preorder on Steam and GOG. Coming September 22nd, the game can be purchased for $29.99. Purchasing before release will grant an additional 10% discount, bringing the price to $27.
Developers have also released the minimum and recommended specifications for Soma.
Minimum
- 64-bit Windows 7
- 2.0 GHz Intel Core i3 / AMD A6
- 4GB RAM
- NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460M Series / AMD Radeon HD 5770 (1GB RAM)
- 25GB HDD
Recommended
- 64-bit Windows 7
- 2.9 GHz Intel Core i5 / AMD FX
- 8GB RAM
- NVIDIA GeForce GTX 480 / AMD Radeon HD 8770 (2GB RAM)
- 25GB HDD
As can be seen above, these requirements are certainly on the low end and should be playable for a large number of gamers. Although it is worth noting they are quite a bit higher than their previous game, Amnesia: The Dark Descent.
SOMA takes players deep beneath the ocean waters as they solve puzzles and deal with twisted creatures. It will be available on PlayStation 4 and PC on September 22nd 2015.
