Backyard Battleground coming to Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2
New hub area allows players to group together and complete missions. Grass Effect pre-order bonus detailed.
PopCap Games today announced Backyard Battleground is coming to Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2.
Backyard Battleground is a hub that connects players to every map and mode. Players can invite up to three friends into their Backyard Battleground and take on daily quests, complete missions, interact with characters or start a war.
Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2 is also partnering with BioWare. Fans who pre-order the game will get access to a new Grass Effect Z7-Mech when they start playing. The Z7-Mech comes with the melee Zomni-tool and interlocking ceramic plate armor with kinetic padding.
In Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2, zombies have taken over Suburbia and plants are on the attack. Each faction has enlisted new characters to join the fight, including Rose, a sorceress that can turn zombies into playable goats and Captain Deadbeard, a pirate that has been adrift for hundreds of years. The action takes place across 12 new maps. Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2 is due for release Spring 2016 on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
