Driveclub PS Plus Edition launches tomorrow
The long delayed race title will release with limited functionality
Nearly a year after the retail version of Driveclub launched, the PlayStation Plus Edition is finally ready to become available.
Driveclub PlayStation Plus Edition will be available to all PlayStation Plus members starting on Thursday, June 25th. But even so, it still won't be the version of the game that players were promised a year ago.
Starting on Thursday, all PlayStation Plus members can download Driveclub PS Plus Edition and begin playing the offline mode. Also starting Thursday, Sony will be rolling out online access to the Driveclub PS Plus Edition and will steadily bring more and more players online while continuously ensuring that all game systems are running smoothly.
This cautious approach is likely the direct result of trying to avoid the multiplayer issues that plagued the launch of the full retail version last year. The PS+ Edition was supposed to launch alongside the retail version.
Developed by Evolution Studios, Driveclub launched in October 2014 exclusively for PlayStation 4.
