Project Cars 2 already in production
Slightly Mad Studios announces sim racing sequel
With their current game barely a few months old, Slightly Mad Studios have already decided it was time to announce a sequel.
While Project Cars will continue to receive a stream of DLC content as planned, the developer has revealed they are turning their attention to a sequel, Project Cars 2. Like the original, the sequel is set to be shaped and funded by fans via the WMD Crowd Funding platform.
The sequel promises to have 200+ courses including offroad elements, 8 different disciplines now including Rallycross, Hillclimbs, and Touge. Play as the Teammate Driver, Spotter, Driver Swap, or Co-Pilot in cooperative mode.
Socialize and compete via Online Track Days, have players from around the world take the place of AI-controlled drivers in your solo play, and get news updates on the Driver Network around you.
This will all come to pass, should the game get the funding and support from fans that it needs. No platforms were confirmed for the game.
Project Cars was recently released for PC, Xbox One, and PS4. A Wii U version was scheduled, but remains in limbo.
