Resident Evil 0 HD announced
Remastered original game coming to new platforms in 2016
Capcom has today confirmed Resident Evil 0 HD, a remastered version of the popular prequel to the original title in the Resident Evil series, is currently in development.
Original Resident Evil 0 Director Koji Oda and additional staff are returning for the development of this new remastered version.
The original Resident Evil Zero made its debut on GameCube in 2002. A port for the Wii followed in late 2009. The game's plot serves as a prequel to the first Resident Evil and covers the ordeals experienced in the Arklay Mountains by Bravo Team, a division of the S.T.A.R.S police force. The story follows officer Rebecca Chambers as she investigates a series of murders, teaming up with convict Billy Coen along the way to survive the viral outbreak involving zombies.
The game is planned for release on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC in early 2016.
