Fortnite’s annual Halloween event, Fortnitemares 2025, has officially begun, introducing a new lineup of collaborations that include Scream, Scooby-Doo, R.E.P.O., and pop artist Doja Cat. The event started on October 9, 2025, and will continue through November 1, 2025, according to Epic Games. It arrives during Chapter 6 Season 4, which has already featured collaborations with Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Halo, and the K-pop Demon Hunters crossover that went live on October 2, 2025.

Fortnitemares is Fortnite’s recurring Halloween event that typically includes themed cosmetics, horror crossovers, and limited-time map updates. This year’s version introduces several new skins and collaborations confirmed by Epic Games through official Reddit posts and an update on the Fortnite website.In three Reddit posts, Fortnite’s official account confirmed upcoming collaborations with Scooby-Doo, R.E.P.O., and Scream, each accompanied by teaser images that referenced the respective franchises. One image showed Ghostface from Scream holding a knife with Peely’s reflection on the blade, confirming that Ghostface will be part of this year’s Fortnitemares content lineup.

Another image featured a zombie from Fortnite breaking through a door as characters from the co-op survival horror game R.E.P.O. ran away, hinting that R.E.P.O.-themed skins would also appear in the Item Shop.

An official blog post on the Fortnite website further confirmed additional collaborations for Fortnitemares 2025, including skins for Jason Voorhees from Friday the 13th, Wednesday Addams, and Ghostface.

Another confirmed collaboration is with Doja Cat, who is featured as the main antagonist for Fortnitemares 2025. Epic Games described her as the “main baddie” for this year’s event. A short clip shared on Fortnite’s official Twitter account on October 8, 2025, previewed her appearance, which was later expanded in a full gameplay trailer published on YouTube. The event includes two Doja Cat Icon Series skins, and she appears in the event as the “Mother of Thorns.”

Epic Games also confirmed that a new map, called Nitemare Island, launched on October 10, 2025, as part of the event’s “Reload Map” feature. The map is entirely Halloween-themed and includes new points of interest (POIs) designed for the event.

Fortnitemares 2025 is scheduled to run until November 1, 2025, giving players roughly three weeks to unlock and purchase the new skins and explore the Halloween-themed content. Epic Games has not specified which characters will appear first in the Item Shop, nor has it provided exact release times for each collaboration drop.
