6.4 million players participate in The Division beta
Open beta of multiplayer shooter is a success for publisher Ubisoft

Ubisoft has announced that 6.4 million players participated in the open Beta this weekend for Tom Clancy’s The Division.
These numbers make it the biggest beta ever for a new Ubisoft IP on current generation platforms. On average, players spent 4 hours and 52 minutes journeying through New York City.
The Dark Zone proved to be particularly popular, with players spending around 2-hours in the PVP zone, with almost 50% of agents turning Rogue in the process. Over 63 million contaminated items were successfully extracted out of the Dark Zone.
The Beta was an opportunity for Ubisoft to test its online infrastructure as well as changes and updates made to the game.
The Division launches on PC, Xbox One, and PS4 on March 8.
