We take a look ahead at the 11 most anticipated titles for 2011!

With 2011 already off to a flying start, as LittleBigPlanet 2 and Dead Space 2 hit stores in January, it was time to put together our annual list. A list of our most anticipated titles for the upcoming year - as we call it, the Top 11 of 2011!
As you'll see, many of these titles are set to be huge blockbusters, as this year is shaping up to be one of the biggest in recent history. As we list our picks, keep in mind that the order is purely alphabetical. And so we begin!

Batman: Arkham City
Batman: Arkham City is the upcoming sequel to action-adventure stealth video game Batman: Arkham Asylum. Players will once again take on the role of Batman, making his way around Arkham City to complete mission objectives. The original title was a rather surprising hit, both with comic fans and gamer audiences alike. If this sequel is able to live up to expectations, we'll have alot more sneaking and kicking to look forward to.

Crysis 2
A familiar face on our list, we mentioned Crysis 2 last year under the "When it's done" category". Well, it appears that Crytek is happy with what they've accomplished, and the game is finally set to ship this spring. Taking the action to the city of New York, Crysis 2 looks to set a new graphical standard on consoles while also pushing the technological boundaries on PC.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution
Deus Ex: Human Revolution (previously Deus Ex 3) will be the third game in the first-person role-playing game Deus Ex series, and a prequel to the original game. Human Revolution is primarily a first person game, but will feature a contextual third person viewpoint when using the cover system, certain augmentations, or closeup instant-kill moves. Given the classic cult PC following that the original game has, it will be interesting to see what the new developer and publisher will be able to do with the franchise.

Gears of War 3
Gears of War 3 is an upcoming third-person shooter video game developed by Epic Games. It's the third chapter in the Xbox-exclusive franchise, that promises to bring four-player coop and female characters. Players will once again guide the Gears team against the enemy Locust, with new weaponry and even mechs. The game also promises to shed more light on the history of the game world.

L.A. Noire
Although little information about the game has been revealed until recently, now that the floodgates are open, players are getting very excited about this new project from Rockstar Games. L.A. Noire is set in re-created city of Los Angeles in 1947, with players being given an open-ended challenge to solve a series of murder mysteries. With a style rarely seen in video games, and some amazing motion capture technology, this crime drama looks to be a thrilling entry in the publisher's catalog.

Mass Effect 3
Announced mere weeks ago, the final chapter in the Mass Effect series is already gaining incredible anticipation from the fans. With action taking place on Earth, commander Shepard is finally set to confront the invading alien race as the fight begins right in humanity's back yard. With the story set for an epic conclusion, BioWare looks to end the series with a bang.
