Final Fantasy XIV launching this summer

Square Enix has revealed that Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn will be launching this summer on PC and PlayStation 3.
The game is scheduled to enter the third phase of closed beta testing in June. Beta phase three will introduce PlayStation 3 users to A Realm Reborn for the very first time, where they will be able to play alongside PC players due to the game’s cross-platform functionality.
The MMO was first launched on PC in 2010 with many technical problems and PS3 relase never saw the light of day. Since then, the game has been through a lengthy development until A Realm Reborn was announced as the re-launch platform.
