First FIFA 12 patch brings FUT fixes

Posted by SpectralShock on

EA Sports has revealed details on the new FIFA 12 patch which has gone live today for PlayStation 3 and PC, and will be available on Xbox 360 shortly.

The update is said to bring a number of fixes to Fifa Ultimate Team mode, which has been suffering from a lot of issues as reported by users. Also, an online exploit has been fixed which allowed players to switch to goalie on defense – thus letting the superior AI defenders win the ball.

Full list of fixes includes:
– Removed the ability to press Back/Select and play as the goalkeeper, allowing the CPU to defend, in all online matches. The function remains available in offline matches
– Fixed a situation that would see the user in an empty FUT Store without button functionality
– Fixed a FUT crash when using custom tactics
– Fixed a hard lock that would occur when applying a Manager Contract after purchasing a Bronze Premium Pack in FUT
– Fixed a situation that would allow an online team to be controlled by other player

This isn’t meant to address all issues that fans have brought up, and EA promises that further patches are on the way.

FIFA 12 is in stores now for PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3.
