Bungie outlines Destiny patch plans

Bungie has outlined their future changes and planned patches for Destiny.

The developers will be patching some of the issues with the online shooter as early as today. Others may not be addressed for a month or two.

First off, the Cryptarch mechanics will be changed in order to relieve some of the frustration caused when items that appear Legendary ended up being decrypted into rares. Farming caves will be addressed, and players can expect changes soon which decrease the efficiency of cave farming and correspondingly increase engram drops from completing activities. Reward loot for completing missions, raids, and strikes will also be modified.

Destiny's near-term solution for the lack of communication will be to allow players to opt-in to voice communication during matchmade activities. Work on this feature was underway at launch and should be rolled out this year in Strikes and the Crucible. Strikes will be made less challenging by reducing damage taken by players and increasing the damage inflicted by players on the boss.
