Video Games Live: Level 3 album released

Crowd-funded music cover album is available now

Posted on

Video Games Live, a popular music show that has traveled the globe playing orchestral and rock covers of the most popular video game music tracks, has released their third compilation album, titled Level 3.

The album was successfully funded on Kickstarter, raising over $285,000. 27 game composers and over 175 musicians from around the world got together to record it, across 16 cities and 11 different countries. The bulk of the symphonic and choir work was done by the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra and Chorale.

The final tracklist includes tunes from Skyrim, Tetris, Beyond Good and Evil, Pokemon, DOTA 2, and more.

"For our 3rd album, our goal was not only to record some of the greatest video game music of all time, but to include some amazing music that people typically may not expect to hear on a video game compilation album," said Tommy Tallarico.

The album costs $9.99 and is available through various retailers, including Amazon, iTunes, and Spotify.
