The 25th Anniversary celebration of Street Fighter begins, as Capcom revealed new information surrounding the activities around the milestone.
Capcom is set to kick off its global tournament series in Austin, TX this weekend on July 28-29. Registration for the Austin, TX qualifying round is now open and is free to enter. This tournament series will culminate in a grand finals event held in San Francisco, CA on December 8th and will include players who qualify in the preliminary tournaments throughout the year. Also announced, the limited edition Street Fighter 25th Anniversary Collector’s Set carries an MSRP of $149.99 and is available now for pre-order at Capcom's website or at Amazon. The set includes past and present Street Fighter Games (Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix, Street Fighter III 3rd Strike Online Edition, Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition, Street Fighter X Tekken); two-disc Blu-Ray set documentary; Light-up 8” tall Ryu Statue; 11-Disc Soundtrack; 64-page Hardcover Art Book; Ryu’s Belt; and Certificate of Authenticity. The Collector's Set will be released for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on September 18th.  |
