PS Blog has released further details on Resistance 3′s competitive multiplayer beta.
For those who have received Early Access to the Public Beta via specially marked packages of SOCOM 4, the beta will become available on Thursday, August 4th. PlayStation Plus subscribers in the U.S. will also be invited to join the beta beginning on August 23rd. The Resistance 3 Beta includes two major maps from the game, the Seaside of Glamorgan, Wales, as well as a Trainyard in Bogota, Colombia. The Public Beta includes two of five multiplayer modes, Team Deathmatch and Chain Reaction (the other three are Deathmatch, Breach, and Capture the Flag). Beta participants can level up, buy and upgrade weapons and abilities, customize loadouts and unlock new character skins. The character level in the beta is capped at 20, so players won’t be able to get the full range of abilities until the game launches in September. The beta will continue beyond the Early Access period mentioned above, and there will be additional ways to participate as Resistance 3 launch date approaches. Resistance 3 is coming only to PlayStation 3 on September 6th. |
