A playable demo for Risen is now available, allowing those interested in Piranha Byte's action/RPG to see if it rises to the occasion. The demo is available on the official Risen blog (though it seems to be overloaded for now), where word is: "Within this demo of Risen, you will venture deep into the mysterious island called Faranga and experience a story never before told". The demo comes in at around 1.1GB in size.
The Windows version of the game is slated for worldwide release tomorrow, with 360 version coming "in the near future".
UPDATE: Developer Piranha Bytes has released an updated demo for their gritty RPG Risen, now available for download. The original demo wasn't packed correctly, resulting in errors on some computers.
The download of the updated demo weighs just over 1GB and can be picked up at Big Download.
